Lorraine's path to founding Bluestream Design Studio didn't start at a drafting table — it started in a lumber yard.
She joined a Florida lumber/truss company during high school in 1982, learning the building industry from the inside. That foundation carried her into an accounting role with a local home builder in the early 1990s. Her computer skills morphed from doing just accounting to producing the builder's brochures, site plans, and even setting up his first construction takeoff software. It was her first real taste of the design side, and it stuck.
In 1996, Lorraine made the leap into full-time drafting at a company with both a drafting division and a truss operation. Splitting her time between residential drafting and truss design gave her something most designers never get — a real understanding of how a house actually comes together structurally.
In 2001, she took that experience and founded Bluestream Design Studio. The studio expanded into offering 3D renderings in 2006, and by 2010 it had become a full service offering alongside the drafting work. During the housing downturn, Lorraine also earned her Associate's Degree in Accounting in 2009 — a fallback plan she's fortunately never needed.
Today, Lorraine brings more than 25 years of hands-on drafting and design experience — and over four decades in the building industry — to every project Bluestream Design Studio delivers.
Hi my name is Therese. As a co-founder of Bluestream Design Studio, I believe that every successful project begins with listening. My role is to work closely with clients from the very first conversation, taking the time to understand their vision, goals, and project requirements. By gathering the right information upfront, I help ensure every project starts with a clear direction and an exceptional client experience. Once that has been accomplished, I forward all the information I have gathered to Lorraine so that she has a clear picture of the client's design project.
My educational background includes an Associate Arts degree and a Bachelor of Business degree, providing a strong foundation in business operations, client relations, and project coordination. As the office and sales manager, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the business while serving as the primary point of contact for many of our clients. I enjoy building lasting relationships, guiding clients through the design process, and making sure every detail is communicated clearly from concept to completion.

Armed with an AA in Marketing from the State College of Florida (SCF), Ashley bridges the gap between technical drafting and the public face of Bluestream Design Studio. Behind the screen, she brings a completely fresh perspective and vibrant creative style to our technical layouts. By mastering the latest innovations in AI-driven design visualization, she acts as our visual artist — transforming 2D blueprints into breathtaking, high-end 3D renderings. Her work gives our building partners and clients an elite, immersive look at their future homes.
Dedicated, driven, and deeply rooted in the community, Ashley is passionate about growing local businesses and helping neighbors visualize their dream spaces. When she isn't bringing blueprints to life on screen or heading up client relations out in the community, you can usually find her enjoying the Florida sun, kayaking local waterways, or spending quality time with her family.
I'm an AutoCAD drafter with Bluestream Design Studio, dedicated to turning client visions into precise, professional designs. I graduated in 2021 with an Associate's degree in architectural design and construction technology from Florida SouthWestern State College.
